What amber scents smell like
Amber (once called “oriental”) fragrances are rich and warm, built on resins, vanilla, tonka and spice. They project well and last, which is why they are popular for evenings out.
Baccarat Rouge is the airy, saffron-and-amberwood take, One Million and Black XS are sweet and spicy, Million Prive adds tobacco and myrrh, and Tuxedo blends spiced rose with patchouli and vanilla.
When to wear amber scents
Amber scents are made for evenings, dates and colder months. They project well, so start with one or two sprays and add more only if you want a bigger trail; they usually last well into the next day on clothes.
If you love the sweetness, the gourmand page has vanilla, coffee and cherry. For warmth with more smoke, try the woody page.
